The Miniature Schnauzers are alert, loving, intelligent dogs that are good guard dogs. They are a dog good with children. The Miniature Schnauzers demand time, and can have difficulty with other dogs unless they have been well socialized. They have a tendency to bark a lot, but their bark isn't as annoying as those yippy barks common for small dogs.
