The Japanese Spaniel is a pleasant, charming, happy, intelligent companion that loves everyone. It is not a barker, but is delicate, and probably not well suited for small children that will mistreat it. They are extremely devoted to their masters, and make a great pet for the elderly where their dainty, clean, sensitive nature and higher than average obedience are real assets.
