The Italian Greyhound is a gentle, submissive, intelligent dog that is generally very active and easy to train. They can be quite naughty and agile often jumping up on furniture, for example, and need a consistent, kind and gentle handling or they can become high strung and timid.

The Italian Greyhound is not recommended for families with children, but rather for quiet, safe homes where stressful situations are rare and where they will be the only pet.
