Hairless Khalas Information

The Hairless Khala is also known as the Hairless Khala Medio (the pottery type), the Hairless Khala Grande (the long legged or sighthound type), and the Pila. Besides being hairless, they have the look of a small greyhound, although their hair is almost exclusively gray when they reach maturity.

The Hairless Khala is loving and docile, with strong undertones of aloofness and standoffishness. This really comes out with strangers with whom their behavior can be downright unfriendly. They will demand their space from other dogs in the house, but seem to really enjoy living with another Hairless Khala.

They are not recommended as a first dog, as they seem to be a bit primitive in their breeding, and non-dog owners can have a difficult time understanding their behaviors.
